Welcome to the Kentucky Democratic House Caucus website! Throughout our website, you can find legislation, news, and information about our Democratic House members and candidates. I hope you will pay careful attention to your Democratic State Representatives, and find information about other candidates, and the Democratic House Caucus. Now, with the close of the 2008 Kentucky General Assembly, I am so very proud of the members of our Democratic Caucus. Again, this session we passed legislation to secure greater benefits for our military and veterans, improve healthcare, promote energy efficiency, expand educational opportunities, and to protect our seniors. Once again, House Democrats offered up a plan called Commitment to Kentucky Families. Although, I was disappointed to see many good pieces of legislation die in the Republican-controlled State Senate, our members rose to the tough challenges that are facing the people of Kentucky and worked to create a better Commonwealth. It is a great time to be a Kentucky Democrat! Over the past two years, our Caucus has gained great momentum and just recently achieved a Super Majority in the House of Representatives. In 2008, we won all of our special elections and even had two Republicans switch parties to join our ranks. Now, it is time to look ahead to the primary and general elections to keep our Democratic commitment alive! We have had many successes together, and I look forward to many more. I am proud to be the leader of the most successful Democratic team in Kentucky. And, I challenge you to take part in the most successful Campaign in our Commonwealth, the Kentucky House Democratic Campaign Caucus Committee.

Though good pieces of legislation died in the Republican-controlled State Senate, Caucus members worked to create a better Commonwealth, and secured greater benefits for our military and veterans, improved healthcare, promoted energy efficiency, expanded educational opportunities, and strengthened protection for seniors.
